Annoying Youtube Player Problems On Google chrome?

for some reason my youtube player is really terrible it always sets my resolution to 144p which is very poor quality and has a buffering problem my internet is fine it will still buffer i use google chrome look up more info about it and didnt find a real solution any ideas??
