Question #11750411

Pediatric Oncology Nurse?

I'm a high school graduate. And i'm interested in pursuing a career as a pediatric oncology nurse. i've visited a couple community colleges and universities for the nursing program. i've asked the tour guides, what the steps i would be taking to become a pediatric nurse, and i've been told that i should attend the nursing program for 4 years afterwards do my RN for a year than go back to school and study oncology, and go back as an RN but this time doing training with chemo therapy etc. but i've read different statements online. I know nursing is something i want to do. i would just like to know what i need to do, to become a pediatric oncology nurse. like the courses, programs, training and for how many years. I'm a planner, so i wanna know what i have ahead of me.
