Will this play on a record player?

I bought a vinyl version of fleetwood mac's rumours for my boyfriend for his birthday. I don't know anything about vinyl records and from what i've checked on the internet there are all different speeds and versions, like lp and ep and all this. I have no idea and the more i read on the internet the more i worry I've got the wrong thing and that it won't work on his record player. can anyone help me? the version i have is 2 discs and it's 45 rpm, whatever that means. i know all his other vinyls have like 8 tunes on one side yet this is split up into 4 sides with 2 on each side.
