Jaded ladies who don't like men: does this change your mind?

I was on FML a while ago and I saw one written by a guy whose girlfriend died, saying that he continues to pay for her phone services just to hear her voice on the voicemail. Another was about a young boy who caught his father m*sturb*ting to a photo of his wife (the boy's mother) who has been dead for four years. I thought they were very sad and very touching.
