Question #12250122

Could I have oral cancer?

Since I have been smoking cigarettes for about 10 months now along with weed there hasn't been anything wrong except for weird patches on my tongue lately. After I brush my teeth the "coating" on top of my tongue (which happens to everyone overnight) usually goes away for the rest of the day but now theres patches of it that stay and are yellowish-white. The spots that stay red are irritated especially when I eat acidic food or smoke. Theres also a spot on the side of my tongue that hurts and looks a little torn like a lesion but you cant really tell by looking at it because it blends in. Should I get this checked asap? Theres always something wrong with me and Im sick of going to the doctor. Please tell me its probably not serious.
