Question #12350040

Is the bible a book of morals?

Not just the bible i mean, but the quran and the torah (don't know the exact spelling), but it seems like the different "books" are more like moral stories to teach people what is right. Now i know they also say slavery is right and it tells you to stone people, but there is also things like "love thy neighbor" and good lines like that. And considering it was written by many people over the ages it could be that it was a collection of "fables". Am i the only one that thinks this?
