My PC disk drive won't open?

Okay, so after the tedious process of installing my graphics card (I had to buy three molex splitters just to power the beast) I turn my computer on ready to install all the drivers for it, and my disk drive just won't open. I've tried opening it manually with the hairclip in the hole, right click ejecting it from My Computer, and uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers. Still no luck. Is there any thing I haven't tried yet?
