what is the moral opposition to allowing people to die taking Nembutal?

In this country, women are allowed to abort/ We exexcute criminals that should be forced to suffer by living in a cell for the rest of their lives. Why do we not allow people that are suffering with illness to take Nembutal to quietly and peacefully die?
