Why is my chinchilla Squeaking?

About 4 weeks ago I bought a chinchilla from a lady who was scared of it and never handled it. When I got it home it instantly crawled up to me and onto me and ever since go's crazy whenever she hears me coming. Recently though whenever I talk to her she makes a faint little squeak sound and after I play with her for a while and put her back she climbs up the side of the cage and squeaks quite loudly at me as if to say " wait come back!" ...Is this normal, it's like she loves me :P
