dows dominant eye have better eyesight than other eye?

I have. A eye chart in my room and wheni stand at 8 feet I can see the third and some second last letters with both eyes. However when I get same result when I look with one eye but it feels like my dominat eye is better. I checked my eyesight 3 months ago and it was very good
