Which inferential test should I use?

My hypothesis is: there will be a significant relationship between score son the PSS scale and the scores on the neuroticism scale. As it states there will be a 'relationship' I should use a test of correlation (either Spearman's rho or pearson's rho depending on whether I want to use a parametric or non-parametric) is this correct?
