Washing hair every other day with mane and tail?

Ive got mane and tail shampoo and conditioner and its also used for horses as you probably know, its meant to be good for human hair growth. My question is, I have been growing my hair for 6 months now and I want to keep growing it out, is mane and tail too strong to use every other day for a long period or is it fine to do that? I have thickish hair and it gets greasy after about 2-3 days, nothing I cant handle though, I could go 5 days without it bothering me if that's better for my hair?
