Should i explore into the world of santeria?

So i am cuban and santeria is a big religion in cuba, my parents do not practice it but i have family members that do. I have been wanting to go talk to a santera for awhile but scared of what my family would say. I just feel like there is something in me that wants to be let out spiritually . Also i always have random people come up to me and tell me spiritual things about santeria. This one lady told me i am yemaya's daughter cus i have a red birth mark.
