What are the most popular countries in Africa (to write about)?

I am working on a multicultural comic book, and I want to represent as many nations and cultures as possible, from all 7 continents and elsewhere. I know there's 180+ countries in the world, and for some reason, Africa is underrepresented for some reason, which is racist or culturally-biased. I am debating if I should write about all the African countries, or the most popular ones. What African nations are popular besides Kenya and South Africa? Please help and please list as many as possible. Thank you.
