I can't port forward my minecraft AND allocate more RAM to my server.?
So I've tried everything to set up port forwarding for my minecraft server but the 25565 port won't open up. I use a Linksys E2000, my router admin setting page says "Cisco" and my firmware is 1.0.03. I've set up a static IP so my IP Address isn't a problem. I've tried to use DMZ, Port Range Forwarding, and Single Port Forwarding but port 25565 for minecraft WON'T open. My router firewall is up and I used window's instructions to allow port 25565 TCP and UDP to be allowed. Please help because nothing I search up is helping me. I even tried restarting my router but there is no use! Next up is my RAM Allocation. When i try to make my run command (named run.bat) it just automatically closes as soon as it starts up. I used the pause command to see the problem and it says, " 'Java' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file." I don't know what else to do to allocate more RAM. On my old computer none of these were problems but when i switched to my new computer everything doesn't work. Please help! Any advise is appreciated if you know anything to do and/or try out!
