Book similar to RL stien or Chris pike maybe?

I have been trying to remember a book I read a long time ago. One of those preteen/teen horror 90s books. A girl thought her sister was dead or that she killed her and she spends the majority of the story trying to escape/hide from people.. but she ended up having like a split personality or something and the sister never existed..? Anyone have any clue...?
