what would be a good or the best processor for my computer for gaming?

my motherboard is a GIGABYTE M57SLI-S4 ad i wanted to get a different processor. the on i want is the AMD FD6300WMHKBOX FX-6300 6-Core Processor Black Edition but it is a AM3+ socket type and my computer ddnt say that it had a AM3+ socket, only the AM3/AM2+/ AM2. If anyone can tell me what to do or what prossesor to buy instead for gaming that would be great, and im also not a money spender.
