Does anyone know what that one childrens novel is where the names were really interesting and made of words?

There is this one children's novel (i think its a series) and it was a very crazy, interesting read and the names would be made of words like , for example, if there was the word "beautiful" they would make the character Bea Utiful or something so her first name was bea and last name was utiful. this might be super vague but i remember reading it in elementary school and loving it. please let me know if you have any sort of memory of a book like that!
