How should I care for tree cuttings after they root?

I am totally new to this and have taken several cuttings from various trees in my area (Illinois) I have watched many how to videos and talked to several people who have done the cutting propagation. My question is this, after they sprout roots how do I care for them until spring? Grow lights? Special soil? Please give me some feedback as I am very interested in this and would love experienced feedback! Thanks so much.
