Question #13100113

What to do if they won't let you wear jewelry in track and field?

I got an industrial bar some time ago, and it takes a year to fully heal. I'm joining track and field and I'm pretty sure they will disqualify you on the spot if they see you wearing jewelry- the only thing is I can't take it out because the holes will close up. People say to cover it with a bandaid or masking tape, but my piercer said not to do that because it fosters an environment perfect for infection. I have long hair, so should I just do my hair in a braid and have it cover my ears or?
