How to not be so clingy?

I find myself being a little too eager to see my bf and want to meet him every sec of the day. (This is my first relationship) And I notice it myself and I really really REALLY don't want to be soo dependent on him. It's because i barley have any friends and i suck at talking to people so i just always want to be with him. But hes super nice and has more friends so... i understand he wants his own time too. What should I do to be less clingy?
