help a friend cope with infidelity!?

A friend's husband just fessed up to an on and off three year affair. They appeared very happy and well matched for the past 18 years. I want to know how to help and support her. The best things to do and say to her. They have three young children together. She has thrown him out but still loves him. How do I be a good friend to a friend in need?
