Are there Tangling Gnomes in my desk drawer?

Get this-so I put these headphones in the drawer-carefully and neatly. I gently close the drawer and few days later, I open it up and there is a knot of such complexity that it had to have a designer. I mean, something so complex could only have been created by some Tangling Gnomes right? I mean, what else could it be?
