Are these functions monotonic?

1. f(x) = (x + 1)^2 - yes 2. f(x) = √x - not sure... 3. f(x) = x^2 - 3 - yes Are these correct? Also, if a function is one-to-one, does that make it strictly monotonic, and vice versa; I'm a little confused about that. I'd appreciate any help.
