Why don't I like the taste of lager and what can I drink instead?

I've tried San Miguel, Fosters and Stella Artois, but they all taste dry and have a really horrible aftertaste! My friends drink all these like water, so it kinda leaves me out..(don't really like the taste of wine or cider either) What can I try that I might enjoy so I can have a decent night with my mates?
