Can you trace people on omegle?

Okay, I know it's probably just to freak me out, but is it possible to trace someones address using a software on omegle? Some dude said he was a software developer and traced my ip address, I was using my ipod which isn't linked to my address anyway, but it died before I could say anything else. Is it actually possible for this creep to know where I live? If it is, what can happen?
