I'm trying to find this surreal maze.?

I went there on a school trip in primary school. It's somewhere around Lancashire or Cheshire, England. It is a concrete maze, with the walls painted in pastel colours. The walls are uneven and filled with surreal things like legs sticking out as if someone fell through. Strangely shaped doors are also placed in the walls, some of which don't open. You end up going round in circles, going through doors which take you back to where you were ages ago. I remembered this place last night, and have been trying to find out where it is. It's name sounds like any normal name for a place, (Not exactly a town name) and I seem to remember the name consisting of two words, the first of which starts with "S". This has been really bugging me, and if anyone could tell me where it is, I'd be very happy.
