Does TKTS typically have a good amount of matinee shows to chose from on Sundays?

I want to go to the city this morning at 930 a half hour before the booth opens to get discounted tickets for a matinee performance, but is there typically a good selection of matinee shows or should I just wait for evening performances? Also could you recommend any shows that are currently frequently listed on TKTS that would be worth seeing, musical or drama. Looking for good theatre not just flashiness and preferably a comedy. Any other tips about the booth worth knowing? Thanks !
