Is it safe enough to give a stranger my college address (for a snail mail penpal)?

I'm 21 and I know that it's never safe to give out personal information like house address and phone numbers to a stranger online. But, If I don't divulge my full name, and just give her the address of my dorm in college, is it safe enough? What's the worst thing that could happen and what other precautions can I take? I know I shouldn't consume anything they give me, but any other tips? Thanks a lot.
