Can my Uncle give me 50K in cash?

Okay so basically for my 17 birthday my uncle is giving me 50 thousand dollars. I was wondering if there is a way for him to give it to me in cash to play around with it. My dad says he doesn't mind me having it in cash. I'm just wondering how and if it is possible for him to take out 50K from his bank.
