Should White parents of Black children receive leniency for the "n" word?

I had a multiracial friend in high school whose moms was White and had a preference for Black dudes and she always called her kiddo "my li'l niglet." I never detected any racist undertones in her use of the word and she loved her "baby" more than anything else. Kid Rock has been captured on video calling his friends Too Short and Ludacris his "******" and they didn't even bat an eye. I heard it was because he's a pretty high-profile White poppa of some Black kiddos hisself. It obviously would offend some people and it's never appropriate but do White people receive more leniency for it if they have Black children?
