Graphics card is fried?

So basically my computer crashed really bad one day and it wouldn t load again. So I reinstalled Windows 7 and I got it to work again but this funny thing happens. Everything is fine but as soon as I upgrade the drivers on my graphics card it won t load again, I can only get it to start up in safe mode.
