WOMEN: How painful are your period pains?

On a scale from 1 to 10, where 1 is no pain, 10 is literal stabbing, how bad is your normal period pain? Asking this because I am curious. As a woman myself, the normal period pain for me usually feels like a stomachache. But some of my girl friends say it feels like someone is stabbing them in the gut.
