Acer E1-571 CPU Plastic Cover Coming Off?

I opened up my Acer laptop to clean out the dust. I noticed that the plastic cover over the CPU is coming off. Is that a problem? Do I need to buy a new one? My laptop has been getting a little hot. If I open a game like The Sims 4 It shuts down. Is it related to the plastic cover coming off of the CPU?
