Mucus in stool?

This is going to be an odd question so bare with me, for a long time now I've had on and off diarrhea, sometimes it contains miscue and sometimes it does not. I've had blood test and other test done recently... would parasites show up in a blood test? That is my first question and the second is what could cause this mucus, I don't think it is candida or yeast infection because I took diflucan for a yeast infection not even a month ago... the mucus is sometimes stringy and/ or like paper thin with a brownish tiny and big pieces. If anyone could help that would be great.
