Can I do a factory reset without losing my stuff?

I have a Samsung Galaxy Amp 2 with a memory card from the store, and an SD card which we bought to put into my phone. All of my pictures and videos are saved onto the SD card. I also have a Google account which backs up my apps. Could I do a factory reset and be able to log back into Google and pop in my SD card and things will be restored?
