Do all the leapfrog tag books still work with the original tag pen?

I bought my daughter the newer leapreader pen and a bunch of tag books. Some of the books I got don't have audio for the newer pen. If I bought a tag pen would they be available and work then? Or am I stuck with books that won't work for it. Some of these books are Spiderman, Giraffes can't dance, and miss spiders tea party. I tried looking for the audio elsewhere to download but couldn't find it.
