Question #14968054

Can a parent go to the bank and ask to see your statements?

The specific bank in question is Bank of America. I'm 21 years old and I don't think my account is a joint one with my parent. I recently got in some hot water about how much I was spending and my mom said she'd go to the bank and ask the banker, who she calls a "friend," to see my statements. Would she actually be able to do that? Would the bank provide the statements to her? I feel like this is such an invasion of privacy and there are just some transactions I don't want her to see.
