How do you save an edited picture on Adobe Photoshop CS6?

I clicked "Save As" and put it into my pictures, but when I went to my gallery it only said "Secure Download" and wouldn't let me open it. Am I doing something wrong? I'm totally new to Adobe Photoshop, and would be glad if you could give me tips on how to open it. What I am trying to do is to save it, so I can make the edited picture go onto my website, but as long as it won't open, it won't let me upload it to my website. It would be greatly appreciated if you could help! Thanks, ~RS
