How quickly can i get on section 8?

Hi Everyone, I am very troubled at this moment, I am trying my all to get onto section 8, but I'm not sure how to go about it. My husband and I were living with my mother, I am now 4 months pregnant, and she is moving and cutting the lease. We all have until may 31st to get out. I would like to know my fastest option whether it be section 8 or anything else, to get housing. Only my husband is working right now, since I am pregnant, and we don't make much.
