Is it ok to sleep with the gauze in my mouth after my wisdom tooth is extracted?

I had the upper right wisdom tooth extracted. It's still bleeding but not too much. Would i cause any problems if i slept with the gauze in my mouth overnight? It's been about 9 hours since the extraction.
