Does the Catholic church's prohibition of birth control AND it's keenness to do infant baptism sound like good way to increase the headcount?

Prohibition of birth control would surely result in several unwanted pregnancies... The Catholic church also teaches that babies must be baptized as soon as possible to clean them of original sin. These two rules would provide the church with endless supply of members..It's all about headcount, isn't ?
