Is it bad I didn't go with my orthodontists referral?

I feel kinda bad since my ortho reffered me to this doctor who does wisdom teeth removal but his reviews are a hit or miss, which sort of scared me away from going to him. So I found a better doctor and scheduled an appointment with him instead. Is that bad?
