15 year old male hair loss?

I've been to the dermatologist several times about my hair loss and they've given me prescriptions for different shampoos to use but none of them have worked. It started about 8 months ago and I'm down to about 1/2 the hair I used to have. Also a thing to keep in mind is that No one in my family is bald or has any signs of hair loss and the ages range up into the 80's. The last time I went to the dermatologist was a few days ago and they took a biopsy of my scalp to see if it was hereditary, idk I can't remember exactly what it was for but anyways, if it comes back hereditary is there anything that I can do about it and if it doesn't come back as hereditary then what could it be and is it fixable? Thanks for any help!
