Can you go to jail for physically hurting someone?

my Dad and step Mom Robin just physically hurt me and now I got like 2 scars or something on my right wrist and it kinda hurts so can they go to jail for doing this to me and will some ice help with the pain or what? I'm 20 btw turning 21 next month
