What is the name of this short story about a teen in the arctic region?
What is the name of this short story? It is from the perspective from a teenage girl whom I recall was Inuit, I think. She is attracted to a boy ... in town? ... who works with her in a mechanic's shop or something (maybe repairing a boat or a car?) and has lots of questions about her ancestors' traditions. There's a bit about the Northern Lights and a poignant recollection or conversation with her grandmother. It's between 8-40 pages long, so it's not that long. She's either Alaskan or Canadian and it's definitely written in English. I read it in high school or as part of a course in an undergraduate program.
