Details and perks of joining the marines?

I'm 18 and just graduated highschool this past year and Im at a dead stop in my life right now to the point where I can't maintain a steady job and I missed enrollment for this semester of school. My uncle told me that I should join the marines and gave me a little information on how the guide you to right path in life and I just wanted some more details before I can really make a decision.
