7th gen iPod nano and FM radio?

I know that for you to play the FM radio on the iPod you have to have headphones plugged in because they act as the antennae. But if you have the iPod plugged into an adapter in your car and use the FM radio app will it play through your cars speakers? An if you were playing just your own music would it play through the cars speakers like my iPod touch will do?
