If I want an international job, would a degree in English or Management be more useful?

Ive been hearing a lot of bad comments about how a business degree won't take you anywhere and is a waste of money, and that english is too.... but i was really thinking about majoring on one of these two... what do you recommend? PS there are no international majors in my university
