Finishing Every Combination With A Left Hook?

It's an old saying in boxing that you must finish every combo with a left hook to get you back on balance. I always do it and I'm wondering if anybody else does as well? I'm studying and working away from home so I don't have access to a boxing gym so I thought I'd ask here.
